I'm looking to travel in mid june to the end of july from Los Angeles, CA to Istanbul, Turkey. I'm a student and can't afford over $800 for the ticket. What is the cheapest airfare website? all the major ones like orbitz, travelocity, expedia, etc. sell the tickets for over $1,100

I like kayak.com to comparison shop for the main airlines--they compare the prices on expedia, orbitz, etc. in one place. There are also several travel websites that cater specifically to students. Here is a link to a webpage that discusses the various student websites.

Many of those "major" sites are owned by the sames company, which explains why their prices are all about the same. If these are the only sites you look at, you will never know that there are better deals out there! I always suggest comparing prices before booking ANY travel! Hi, the best way to get cheap tickets from Los Angeles to Istanbul is to have 2 stops. If you can get a cheap flight to London from there you can get tickets for $100 on some week days.
