How much money would be needed for a 2-week stay in New York City?
Alright, I'm planning of enrolling an acting course in NYC, as an international student from Turkey, which i decided to home-stay with a family, because it is cheaper than housing offered. What i would like to learn about is that, how much money would i need for my food and/or other basic expenses during this 2-week period. Thanks for your answers.

a. $700 for food b. $54 for two 7-Day MetroCard c. $20 for the laundromat & liquid/powder soap If you need cheap things, go the the nearest Dollar Tree. Snacks, toothpaste, toothbush and more can be found there for $1 each. So far that's about $800 for the necessities. If you plan to explore the city and shop, have $300 to $500 more. The MetroCards you have should get you in for free at some places or discount admission. http://www.mta.info/metrocard/tourism/mc_promotions.htm Good luck with your studies.

Huh?????? Bachelors in dentistry? Where did you get that? Masters in dentistry? Where would you expect to get that? Why? GPA of 2.99? Why would you expct to get in to any professional school? Look into DDS and DMD programs, and get serious about your studies!.

Spend a week in Turkey or Greenland?

Spend a week in Turkey or Greenland?
I'm a college student and I am spending a semester abroad in Denmark next year. I am being given the option of spending a week studying geology/earth science/global warming in Greenland or culture/politics/etc. in Turkey. What do you think sounds cooler?

Greenland. It is much more interesting and they love christians. They speak english.

Having the vast options like yours, from one end is being science and the opposite is social studies (aka arts), I would most certainly look into spending a week studying endangered species in Africa. Your major must be quite interesting!
3 :
simply it is up to you. geology and politics are totally disparate subjects of interest. i'd choose greenland cause i know enough of turkish culture and politics since i am turkish lol
4 :
Turkey is a nice place to spend a week.

My humble opinion is: You can travel anytime to Greenland as a tourist, but spending a week in Turkey in such a program is probably more interesting, you'll experience a multifarious culture intimately, get to know lots of various things, enjoy your studies and stay while being catered for, which is quite different than going there as a tourist, where you wont experience it so closely, stay at some hotel and will look from the outside.

you want a place where they really focus on service to the tourists in a concerted effort. Florida does it best. california is nice, but everyone is doing there own thing so you want learn much helpful to your future goals.
3 :
California, fur sure! Actually the Marriott Hotel chains offer several programs for interns in hotel management.
