Any ideas what I can cook with these ingredients?
My mom's out of town and I am but a poor college student low on money and there is almost no food in the house. Actually, there is a decent amount of food, but none of it cohesive. I think we have every condiment in the world. I have about a pound and a half of ground hamburger, frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts (bleh), Steak-Umms (bleh), frozen uncooked turkey burgers, frozen stir-fry vegetables, easy mac, macaroni shells, penne noodles, whole wheat spaghetti, half a jar of vodka sauce, canned artichokes, panko bread crumbs, enchilada sauce, frozen hash browns, frozen green beans, martini olives, a jar of roasted red peppers, frozen salmon fillets, peanut butter, canned tuna and salmon, brown rice, quinoa, Laughing Cow cheese wedges, two packages of cream cheese, 2 oz shredded Italian cheese blend, and about 4 oz feta. About three English muffins and a package of Zataran's Red Beans and Rice rounds out all of it. As far as staples, I have no eggs, no milk, no bread. I do have one stick of butter and some olive and cooking oils in addition to every seasoning and condiment known to man. So any ideas? More than one recipe would be awesome also...

You can make a turkey burger and serve with the english muffin. I would top with feta and roasted peppers. Use the vodka sauce, artichokes and red peppers over penne noodles. cut the chicken into strips, make the red beans and rice, add the chicken. Looks like you have many options.
3 :
1) Brown the hamburger and mix it up with the Easy Mac 2) Coat 1 chicken breast in MAYO (if you have some) dip in Panko, bake in 375 oven for 45 mins. Heat up vodka sauce, add in drained/canned artichoke. Slice up a coupld roasted red peppers and add to sauce too! Boil whole wheat pasta (boil longer than regular pasta). Drain pasta and plate. Top with pasta sauce. When chicken is done, put on plate, top with pasta sauce and shredded cheese that you have. Put in microwave for 2 mins. 3) Heat Vodka Sauce and add in 1/2 package of cream cheese until combined/melted into sauce. Serve over pasta
4 :
Zataran's with the ground beef (browned) serve with the green beans Saute the salmon fillets. Add the artichoke hearts and some of the red peppers, cooked penne and vodka sauce. top with some of the italian cheese Slice the chicken breast really thin. Saute. Remove form pan and cook the stir fry vegetable. Serve with the brown rice. If you have any bullion or stock and soy sauce add a little to make a sauce.
5 :
Man, you have a lot of food to work with. Many pasta ideas. I would cut up some chicken breasts and use the penne noodles a the canned artichokes a some of the stir fry veggies. Saute all this up and put feta cheese on top.
6 :
Thaw the frozen chicken breasts and cut into strips lengthwise. Coat with a mixture of mayo, grainy mustard and black pepper and roll in Panko crumbs. Press firmly to be sure the crumbs stick and bake in a 375F oven for 18 to 22 minutes. Dipping sauce #1: a mixture of melted orange marmalade, grainy mustard and horseradish Dipping sauce #2: mix Colman's hot mustard with cold water and let sit 10 minutes. Add mayo and honey. Tuna salad on English muffin Combine cooked pasta shells with vodka sauce and laughing cow cheese, pour into a dish and bake at 350F for 20 minutes. Stir fry veggies over brown rice Cooked ground beef and Zatarain's RB&R mix Turkey burger on English muffin and green beans

Well, you can't do much. The Turkish student must apply for the visa through the commercial application centers in Turkey [Ankara, Bursa, Gaziantap, Istanbul and Izmir] which collect the visa applications, the feels, take the biometrics and finger-prints, forward the applications to the U.K. Embassy or Consulate, and finally issue the passport (hopefully with the visa). The attached checklist shows the documents required. https://www.visainfoservices.com/ContentFiles/Documents/General%20visit%20visa.pdf .. You or your parents my assist the application in the form of an invitation letter. See attached website for details. http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/infs/inf3sponsors#Q5 ..

Is it possible for me to earn money in a situation like this...?
Is it possible for me to earn money in a situation like this...?
I am now a senior year electrical electronics engineering student in Bogazici University in Turkey and I got accepted from University of Maryland Baltimore County for Computer engineering. I have to earn money in order to continue my education. Is there any firms those need Computer Engineers to work while studying? Also is there any possibility for me to work in a consistent place? I know that legally I can work 20 hours a week. So in which place I can find a good work and earn money? I have some computer skills that's why I have chosen computer engineering... Thanks a lot for your answers...

You could join a Temp Agency down in Baltimore. I know I did that and made some decent money. I did all sorts of jobs like a receptionist or I just plugged in numbers into a spreadsheet all day. Not the most exciting but I some cash.

I usually get up around 5am to go for a 10k jog, I have two weight watchers biscuits just to get my metabolism going, then when I am back from the 10k I make a hot bowl of porridge. It doesnt sound very filling, but after a 10k jog it does the trick for mean and I am a big guy. Boosts my energy slowly throughout until I have a mid morning snack. So its quite a cheap option if thats what you are after too! P.S I usually sprinkle a table spoon of sweetne on top to give it a bit of taste!

Hi there Summer , i know that you are already aware that timing protein intake throughout the day is essential to maximizing muscle gains, reducing muscle breakdown, and keeping nitrogen levels positive. I will quickly summarize the logic behind the regimen before presenting the regimen itself. We need to consume whey protein no sooner than 5 minutes after the meal, and no later than 30 minutes afterwards. Here's a tip on when you are going to take proteins 00:00 Whole food meal 00:10 Whey protein shake (at least one 20-30 gram scoop) 03:00 Whole food meal 03:10 Whey protein shake
3 :
It depends on how hungry I am. If I am still hungry after my protein shake I will usually eat breakfast within 20 minutes after, but most of the time I will eat breakfast around 45 minutes after. I eat protein, complex carbs, and healthy fat. Usually I will have an omelet (2 whole eggs, 1 egg white) with fat free shredded cheese and 2 servings of oatmeal. Other times I will have scrambled egg whites, a veggie sausage patty, and 1 slice of whole wheat toast with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter.

How do medical students learn surgery in islamic countries where all dead muslims must be buried within 1 day?
How do medical students learn surgery in islamic countries where all dead muslims must be buried within 1 day?
I heard there's a rule in Islam that a dead muslim must be buried within one day. Then, my question is, how could medical students in islamic country (e.g. Iran, Turkey, Indonesia) learn about surgery without a corpse (all buried according to islamic tradition)? Please, don't insult Islam here. That's not my purpose for starting this topic.

Not everyone in an Islamic country is a Muslim you know. There are plenty of people of other faiths in those countries as well. I would imagine besides sending them (potential doctors, not cadavers) elsewhere to study, those cadavers that were donated to science would be assumed to NOT be Muslim - otherwise they wouldn't have been donated to science, they would have been buried by the family.
2 :
I'm a student in the faculty of medicine in Egypt . Here, there are people who donate their bodies for science as it is a necessary thing . and it's allowed for people to do that because studying medicine is a critical thing for saving lives . and as said in Qura'n (and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people )

Why does John McCain say America is not receiving casualties in war?
Why does John McCain say America is not receiving casualties in war?
Responding to a student who criticized his remark about our staying in Iraq for 100 years, McCain quipped, "No American argues against our military presence in Korea or Japan or Germany or Kuwait or other places, or Turkey, because America is not receiving casualties." Why did he make this mistake?

I think your reading is the problem.
2 :
he never said that
3 :
I'm not sure what he meant? That there are no casualties from the long standing bases, I suppose. I'm not sure what that has to do with a very active theater of war where we are obviously receiving casualties. He's right in that people would be more patient over Iraq were it not for the deaths, injuries and incredible monthly costs of $12B. But that's not the situation we have.
4 :
Yours is a loaded question. It assumes a fact not in evidence. He did not make any mistakes. The US has had military in Germany since WWII. No one is calling for troop removal from Germany. There is no war in Germany. Therefore, there are no war casualties in Germany. The same applies to Japan, South Korea, Kuwait... The only place where left wing liberal loonies are calling for troop withdrawal is Iraq. To my knowledge, the cowards in the US are not even calling for troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.
5 :
You are in the first grade. Right?
6 :
What he actually is saying is that Americans aren't opposed to having troops stationed overseas when they are not involved in combat. There is no opposition to the overseas presence of US service members except in Iraq.
7 :
Here, read this if you can read properly. Otherwise go back to school. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/14/mccain.king/index.html

Can it be that he is an idiot? That's my take.
9 :
I guess it's another misspoken mistake. Mistakenly misunderstood.
10 :
because he is keeping his eyes closed..his mind is closed to only what he believes..yo regerugg... we should have more troops in Afghanistan.. that's where 9/11 originated.. 9/11 came out of Afghanistan.. whats wrong with you people.. Iraq is about oil.. our priorities should be to get osama bin laden.. Saddam is dead...9/11 is not about iraq.. this whole thing started with the planes flying into 2 buildings killing thousands.. OSAMA BINLADEN!!!!!!!! no one from IRAQ!!!!!!!
11 :
It appears the only mistake here is your reading comprehension skills.
12 :
He did not, he mean USA is OK with occupying other countries as long is no USA dieing.
13 :
HE SIMPLY STATED THAT THOSE WHO ARE CLAMORING FOR US TO GET OUT OF IRAQ NOW DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM BECAUSE WE MAINTAIN BASES IN KOREA, GERMANY, JAPAN AND OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD! LISTEN HE DID NO SAID WE ARE NO RECEIVING CASUALTIES. PERHAPS I SHOULD ALSO SAID THAT PERSONALLY DID NO HEAR WHAT HE SAID BUT JUDGING BY WHAT YOU WROTE THAT IS WHAT HE WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN
14 :
Maybe he was just up from a nap?
15 :
In response to the statement by an answerer that no one has said troops should leave Germany as well as Iraq the first statement is false there was a book called The Military Assault on The Environment written by William Thomas which talked about the damage U.S. military excercises and military waste did to Germany and of the damage N.A.T.O. excercises did. There would be a call to remove troops but if German Environmentalists had said the troops should leave they would either have been called Communists at the time or people would ignore them like they do today. There were casulties in Kuwait during The Gulf War. The current casulties are in Afghanistan and Iraq though. Mcain does not appear to care about dead Iraqis not in volved in fighting. The strange thing is that even when people who are not fighting U.S. Forces they might face arrest, torture ,and demands they devulge the location of terrrorist cells and such.

He didn't. You need to check your facts. You are probably just a fem-nazi hating american.

What are the basic sentences in dutch?
A dutch student is going to come us (I live in Turkey) after a month to stay four days and I want to learn basic things about the language and people. Could you write basic sentences in dutch like Hi, what is your name, my name is ...., how are you, How old are you etc. And what do dutch people like to do? Also it would be great if you write the numbers till 10.

Hello - Hallo / Hoi What is your name? - Hoe heet je? My name is.. - Mijn naam is.. / Ik heet.. How are you? - Hoe is het? How old are you? - Hoe oud ben je? How was your trip? - Hoe was je reis? This is my home/house - Hier woon ik/ dit is mijn huis Yes - Ja No - Nee 1 - een 2 - twee 3 - drie 4 - vier 5 - vijf 6 - zes 7 - zeven 8 - acht 9 - negen 10 - tien Dutch people, like Turkish people, like to do many different things. But maybe, because there is a lot of water here, Dutch people mostly like to swim or sail.. As long as it is 'gezellig' ( this is a special Dutch word for when you really enjoy the company of others around you) it will be fine. Good luck ;)
